Video Production Business Tips - Attract More Clients Through Public Speaking

One of the most effective ways to showcase your knowledge in attracting customers for video production is to design a demonstration that educates your audience and looks for opportunities to address regional, national, and local events or meetings.

Here are some strategies I’ve learned over the years that can be used to design presentations that yield results.

1. Choose the exact person you would like to deal with, and begin designing your presentation with this client in your mind.

Do you wish to speak to glamorous brides or corporate marketers? Or parents of college-bound students or safety directors for manufacturing factories. A generic presentation isn’t likely to attract all of them. Therefore, you need to talk about the specific subjects they are interested in the most in order to achieve results.

2. You should create an outline that lists the specific points you wish to cover in the presentation.

This is a crucial step since the rest of your talk will construct with the outline as the basis. Take your time working on this to ensure you have a compelling presentation to give the audience. I’ve found the best method of creating an outline is to figure out the primary area I’d like to present on, followed by approximately three sub-topics for each area. Then, I’ll work to think of some clever twists on the subject/sub-topic titles to keep the topic fascinating (or maybe just so that I can show my ability to be clever! ).

3. Make sure to showcase your best work in the presentation.

Don’t spend a lot of time showing videos. I would suggest allowing the time for at most 5 mins for each video if you’re presenting in a 30-minute time frame. If your presentation is more than an hour-long, make sure you plan 10 minutes of video. Be sure to present your best work! This isn’t the right time to showcase a subpar project simply because it’s in line with the topic of your presentation. If the project isn’t great, do not show it! Period.

4. Make use of a program such as Apple Keynote or PowerPoint to make your slides.

The majority of people are familiar with seeing slideshows during presentations, so make use of one of these software programs to make it appear as professional as you can. Personally, I like Apple Keynote over PowerPoint because certain of the templates available with the program are cute, as are the options for animation. (I consider) are more original overall.

Be sure to brand the slides using your company logo as well as your web address so that your people watching will know exactly who is giving the presentation and how they can reach you.

5. If you can afford it, you can print the slides deck for the attendees to take notes during the presentation.

I’ve seen more success when the audience is more engaged in my presentation. One method to accomplish this is to hand them printed copies of slides so that they are able to follow the presentation and note notes. If they make their notes throughout the talk, they’ll ensure they have them on their way out, so your name and contact information will be readily available later on once they’re ready to employ you!

6. Record your presentation with a professional. Presentation.

This is a sermon for the crowd here but seriously, ensure that you never present on an open forum unless you have the ability to record it simultaneously. It’s an enormous boost in your credibility when you provide an email to a potential customer that proves that you’re obviously an experienced professional in your subject. The competition won’t have that, and you’ll become the star in their eye!

The recorded presentation could be used to gather emails from prospective customers by posting them on your site.

7. Make your pitch known to professional associations catering to your ideal clientele.

After your presentation is set to go live, you can begin making contact with professional associations that cater to your market and ask them for the opportunity to speak about your subject. Many organizations (especially local ones) are in need of speakers, so it shouldn’t be difficult to find a time slot in the event that you show your expertise by providing the outline, slideshow, and URLs to your site as well work samples and customer reviews.

8. Request to send the video editing of your talk to the audience members.

It’s a great opportunity to collect contact details from the various individuals in the audience. Distribute a clipboard with an information sheet and ask them to sign their email address and name. Once the video has been edited, then provide them with a link to share the video with other people. I strongly suggest that you share the link on YouTube, Facebook, or some other popular video-sharing website so that they can easily share the video with friends and colleagues.
