Everyone is anxious about this time of year, and how stress of the year makes students perform unnatural things in order to earn higher grades. Many of us have been through this experience at least a few times over the course of a single year!
In addition to the knowledge you can learn from reading the books, what else do tests help you? What abilities does this bring out in you that you did not think about much?
10 things I’ve learned during getting ready for the exam –
1. Being Resourceful –
I’m not talking about those at Harvard or any Ivy league institution If you’re anything like me, and you put off working until the very final moment You learn to prioritize the material you study and learn what’s required. It is also possible to look back on the questions that were previously made, look for patterns or trend, and then predict the type of questions that might be asked in the coming year. We’re usually right nearly all the times!
2. Time Management Time Management
My exam schedule started at 6 amand continued through the day until 10 midnight. Between exams, I scheduled many breaks and naps in order to calm my mind so that I could recharge my mind and focus better on the material I was studying. This talent was instilled to me solely due to my experience of having needed to prepare for examinations.
In accordance with the work we’d be doing the entire course was scheduled a few days ahead of time because I was worried about the insufficient time. It was a surprise that I was able to complete every course during the time interval between each exam as a result of my planned schedule.
3. Creativity —
I’m sure that many users have been sucked into the “holy sh*t!” idea when you were working on an exam that is just two days away. It’s hard to get your mind off of it, but you don’t want to waste your study time contemplating the.
Here’s my method to manage the surge in creativity AND to stay on top of your studying schedule. Allocate approximately 30 minutes to consider your ideas. It could be any thing. I’ve been thinking of novel ideas for startups, novels, and even music. Think about the idea for 30 minutes to determine if it’s possible or not. Once you’ve done that, you’ll feel less enthusiastic about it or your anxiety for the test will be a factor and cause you to spend for an additional 30 minutes.
Actually I came up with the idea of writing this piece during an exam. I’m writing it in the days leading up to an exam! ( only for a half hour )
When you try to remove yourself from the subject and focus on something else, you’ll be thinking about it for a while more. If you do not have an idea You’re lucky and unfortunate!
4. The Best planning –
If you’re an academic and enjoy studying ahead of schedule You don’t have anything to fret about. There’s no ideal strategy to plan for. For those who are procrastinators effective planning strategies can be an absolute lifesaver.
Imagine that you only have two days to prepare for an exam and the maximum mark is 100. You’ve got all your study materials you need; there are also the most frequently asked questions during the previous examinations. You know what topics should be given the highest priority. Even if you aren’t able to make it to 100 marks, you’ll make plans to study as many subjects as you can and as quickly as you can.
If you substituted studying for some work for the industry in the preceding paragraph this effectively creates an effective business model for the sector!
5. Handling Pressure –
The exam could last two weeks or 3. Students may feel relaxed about the exam, while others feel pressured and begin to fear for their lives.
Pressure handling isn’t an inherent skill. It takes repetition. It’s not a skill that you can learn to master the pressure, you simply become accustomed to it. There are ways to ease the pressure, like taking naps or taking some exercise; however, it’s impossible to eliminate it.
The anxiety that comes with serious situations is common for anyone in the world, but for you to manage it effectively, it is a constant exposure to such experiences.
6. The value of Time The Value of Time
Most of the time I would ignore time and view it as an abundance of resources. The “abundant” resources was reduced and I saw that it was slipping out of my grasp during the exam. I was required to make the most of every minute of preparation for the exam and I had no time to consider time as plentiful in any way.
If your plan of study is thorough, then you’ll appreciate time as an essential resource. This is the norm in all cases instead of recognizing that you have squandered it several times.
7. Creating Innovative Strategies –
There were a few aspects in a couple of classes that required meddling up. It’s not something I’m great at so I created an approach to study the subjects as a whole Game of Thrones story, by using the words as memory aids. When I was able to remember the tale I invented I was able to recall the subjects. This goes against the purpose of taking exams, however I would be a failure had I not done this!
Similar to that, there are a variety of ways to think of in case you’re determined to finish an educational program, and that will benefit you by applying that mindset to tackle real-world problems.
Short story short: If I didn’t put in the hours of learning in accordance with all my strategies and plans I’d surely fail the course. However, I was able to find the determination to endure the ordeal(s). If you’re not used to perseverance, you’ll see that trait in you during this period in the season. Once you recognize that you are blessed with this talent and you are able to make a difference by using it. Perseverance is the most important factor to anything you wish to accomplish.
9. The value of Knowledge The Value of Knowledge
If you go through the material for your course you will discover numerous areas in the material you didn’t have any idea about and you may find some of those aspects fascinating. I took a course titled Computer networks. I discovered that it was fascinating when I was studying the material. The issue was that I discovered that I had missed something a few days prior to the computer networking exam and I didn’t have time to delve into the subject.
If I could find some enough time to do some research, I looked further and discovered an abundance of information on the internet about this topic that was not in the textbooks I studied in my college. I set out to find out more about this topic, which was as extensive as studying Artificial Intelligence! There is no such thing as a perfect world.
10. Learning to adapt –
Each of the points I’ve discussed in the previous paragraphs will be activated by you either subconsciously or consciously. Whatever the case you’ll be able to whatever is required to survive an event that is a result of pressure. We specifically acquire the capacity to maximize the result in only a short period of time.
If there’s a deadline We tend to come up with innovative methods to complete the task. This isn’t limited to exams, but also to different real-world situations. The inherent capacity to change has been the primary driver behind evolution.
